Dancing is one of the most fun,  most fulfilling forms of exercise and there’s never been a better opportunity to learn how! Just grab a partner, dust off your dancing shoes and head on down to Sugar Land Town Center, located at Highway 6 and U.S. 59 Frontage Road in Sugar Land, for free dancing lessons! Meditation for Blissful Living

Learn how meditation can help decrease stress, improve focus and promote compassion for oneself and others by understanding one’s mind better. In this mental-relaxation exercise, meditation instructor Anusha Thiagarajan will demonstrate various breathing techniques, sounds and postures, as well as the incorporation of silence, to promote internal peace and clarity. Katy Fire and EMS Golf Tournament

Work on your golf swing while raising money for a great cause at Katy’s annual golf tournament fundraiser at Willow Fork Country Club, located at 21055 Westheimer Parkway. Freedom 5K Run Join First Colony Community  Association (FCCA) for the 22nd

Annual Freedom 5K Run and Family and Youth 1.5 mile walk at Lost Creek Park, located at 3703 Lost Creek Boulevard in Sugar Land. The route winds down the Oyster Creek trail system and finishes in Lost Creek Park. Proceeds benefit Fort Bend CORPS, a community revitalization effort for elderly, disabled or low-income residents. Sugar Land Heritage Hike

Work out your body and your brain  by embarking on this historical adventure through Sugar Land! Residents of all ages are encouraged to join in this historical hike in order to bring the past of Sugar Land to future generations. Tickets for adults are $10 while tickets for kids 12 to 18 are only $5. All profits benefit the construction of a Sugar Land History museum. 4th Annual Downtown Stomp

Nothing goes better with walking than wine and shopping! You can do all of the above while raising money for a good cause at Fort Bend County Fair’s Downtown Stomp. Cohosted by the Rosenberg Arts Alliance District, this annual event invites participants to sample wine and stroll along the Historic Downtown Rosenberg shopping area. Back-to-School Health Fair

Health and fitness doesn’t always mean physical exercise. At the AccessHealth Richmond Center, located at 400 Austin Street, emotional health and mental fitness take priority for students of all ages returning to school in the fall. AccessHealth will provide free health screenings, backpacks, school supplies and even haircuts to interested community members. An additional Missouri City Health Fair will be hosted during the same hours on August 12th at the 307 Texas Parkway location.
